Privacy Policy
Routezy ("Routezy", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, disclose and safeguard information when you use the Routezy mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect:
- Account information: your name, email address, optional phone number, account role and related profile information.
- Location data: GPS or device-location information when location-dependent features such as live vehicle tracking are enabled and you have granted the required permission.
- Usage and diagnostic information: app interactions, technical events, performance information, errors and crash data used to operate, secure and improve Routezy.
- Device information: device and application information required for functions such as notifications, security, fraud prevention and advertising.
- Wallet and reward information: promotional-credit transactions, reward activity, referrals, credit purchases, spending and related transaction references.
- Payment information: payment status, provider references, order identifiers and transaction metadata needed to verify purchases. Routezy does not need to store your full payment card details.
- Advertising and consent information: advertising eligibility, consent choices and advertising-related identifiers or signals where applicable.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Provide real-time transport, route and tracking functionality.
- Authenticate users and maintain accounts.
- Send service notifications and operational updates.
- Process and verify wallet-credit purchases and rewards.
- Operate promotional-credit, referral and reward features.
- Prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised activity.
- Maintain app security, reliability and performance.
- Diagnose errors and improve Routezy.
- Request, display and measure advertising where permitted by your privacy choices and applicable law.
3. Location Data
Routezy collects location information only when the relevant feature requires it and the required device permission has been granted.
For authorised driver or transport-operation roles, background location may be required to transmit vehicle positions while tracking is active. Passengers may use location-dependent features where available.
You can revoke location permissions from your device settings. Disabling location access may prevent location-dependent Routezy features from functioning.
4. Advertising and Consent
Routezy may use Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to provide advertising, including rewarded advertising.
Where required, Routezy uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage consent for advertising-related data processing. Depending on your region and privacy choices, ads may be personalised, non-personalised, limited, or unavailable.
Where a privacy-options entry point is required, you may review or update applicable consent choices through the privacy controls made available in the application.
Google and participating advertising partners may process device information, advertising identifiers and related signals according to their own privacy policies and your applicable consent choices.
5. Payments
Routezy may use Razorpay or another approved payment provider to process payments for eligible Routezy services such as promotional-credit purchases.
Payment providers process payment credentials under their own privacy and security practices. Routezy stores only the payment and order information needed to verify transactions, reconcile purchases and provide the purchased entitlement.
6. Wallet, Promotional Credits and Rewards
Routezy may provide promotional credits through purchases, eligible rewards, referrals, advertising or other Routezy features.
Wallet records may include credit issuance, remaining amounts, expiry information, spending allocations, payment references and other data required to maintain an accurate wallet history.
Promotional credits are not a bank balance and are not withdrawable or convertible to cash through Routezy.
7. Data Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell your personal data. We may share or process data with service providers where necessary to operate Routezy, including:
- Supabase for database, authentication and backend services.
- Firebase for supported real-time and application services.
- Razorpay for payment processing and verification.
- Google AdMob and Google UMP for advertising and consent management.
- Infrastructure, monitoring, analytics or diagnostic providers used to operate and improve Routezy.
- Government or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is required by applicable law.
8. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your Routezy account is active or as reasonably required to provide the service, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the service from abuse.
Routezy's current policy is to retain location history for a maximum of 30 days unless a shorter period applies or retention is required for an authorised operational, safety or legal purpose.
Certain financial, security, fraud-prevention or transaction records may need to be retained for longer where required by applicable law or legitimate operational requirements.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect user information, including HTTPS transport, authenticated access controls, database row-level security and controlled server-side authorities for sensitive operations.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal data associated with your account.
- Correct inaccurate account information.
- Request deletion of your account and eligible personal data.
- Withdraw permissions such as device location access.
- Review or change advertising consent choices where the applicable privacy framework provides that option.
11. Children's Privacy
Routezy is not intended for children under the minimum age permitted by applicable law. Our Terms currently require users creating an account to be at least 13 years old.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Routezy evolves. The updated version will be published at this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app where appropriate.
